Morgan Motor Company, the 110-year-old iconic British car manufacturer, has announced a range of new models using an updated chassis due for release in 2020.

Production of the new CX-Generation chassis will mark the end of production for Morgan’s traditional steel chassis, first introduced in 1936. The new platform is said to be twice as rigid as their current aluminium chassis.

The new cars will be built at the unique car manufacturer’s factory in Malvern.

Morgan Chief Executive Steve Morris said: “The advanced engineering encompassed within the new platform is a vital underpinning for the next generation of Morgan sports cars, and further demonstrates the exciting blend of craftsmanship and technology that makes Morgan cars unique.”
