We are working with a global manufacturer of petrochemicals, speciality chemicals and oil products to find the right person for the role of Anode Assembler in the Northwich area, for an immediate start.

This is a role suitable for Process Operators, and is based on 36 hours per week with a rate of £8.67 (£12.39 after training).

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Stripping and rebuilding of mercury anodes to be reused on site whilst adhering to safe and high standards
  • Adhere to site rules of behavioural & process principles for working on chemical processing plant
  • Support team supervisor in the implementation of strategic planning
  • Maintain chemical production within Cell Room
  • Health & safety awareness as working direct with caustic / brine / chlorine & hydrogen gas production
  • Removal of Anode & Cathode modules by overhead cranes
  • Renovation & repair of module parts following strict process & production procedures
  • Quality control & compliance procedures regarding onus on rebuilt modules going for pressure testing for return to processing plant
  • Drive continuous improvements into the plant through lean tools & methodologies

Person Specification:

  • Must have a SCATS card or CCNSG - must be valid and in date, or willing to take and fund the two day course
  • Must have previous experience of using small electrical tools in a production environment
  • Non-smokers only

Essential Experience: 
Ideally previous Assembly experience, experience of coating and welding etc.
