Job Purpose: Pre-production build vehicles need to be updated as identified by RISs (Rework Instruction Sheets) to ensure they are suitable for the DVP tasks allocated to them. In addition Tool Tryout & Pre Production build phase vehicles need to be reworked to a saleable condition. Vital to achieving this process quickly and efficiently is the prompt and accurate supply of parts to the RIS team. The role will have responsibility for ensuring the correct parts are provided to the T&V team for Design Verification Plan updates and the RIS team for vehicle updates.

Key Responsibilities & Tasks:
The key responsibilities and tasks of the role include:

  • Determine the parts requirement schedule from the vehicle availability list and RIS master matrix.
  • Liaise with engineers to determine part compatibility with build phases, then obtain quotations, raise orders and chase them though the system.
  • Liaise with suppliers to ensure parts promise dates are achieved.
  • Produce pick lists for each specific vehicle, highlight any shortages and proactively seek to for fill shortages.
  • Liaise with the rework team to determine unique vehicle by vehicle requirement for update parts.
  • Receive parts into store, book into and receipt in Goldcrest.
  • Ensure parts are picked to support the Design Verification Plan and RIS teams in updating pre-production vehicles.
  • Maintain an excellent level of housekeeping within the working environment and adhere to all health and safety regulations.
  • Performing requested ad-hoc duties / investigations required in order to achieve the department’s and company objectives.

Qualifications & Experience:
The successful applicant will possess the following skills and attributes:

  • Previous experience within a similar role is desirable.
  • Experience of working with internal and external suppliers/customers would be beneficial.
  • Proven ability to persuade, negotiate and problem solve in order to meet parts requirements.
  • The candidate must be computer literate and familiar with excel spread sheets.
  • It would be beneficial if the candidate had a forklift licence but this is not essential
  • Knowledge of Aston Martin Product would be an advantage
