Part of a small team, this role is responsible for specifying and validating network communication between Electronic Control Modules (ECUs) on all of Aston Martin Lagonda mainstream programmes.

Key Responsibilities & Tasks:

  • Working with Engineers and suppliers from a variety of systems to define network and signal requirements as part of the requirements capture process.
  • Authoring requirements specifications for signals, nodes, and functions.
  • Communication design (signal packing, frame identifier assignment, gateway routing)
  • Network Validation, prototype vehicle debugging and support.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Good understanding of at least one of the following protocols: CAN, LIN, or FlexRay.
  • Competent user of Vector network tools (CANalyser, CANoe, etc)
  • Familiarity with the following protocols: CAN, LIN, or FlexRay, Ethernet, AUTOSAR Classic Platform
  • Knowledge of physical layer hardware design guidelines, specification and testing for CAN, LIN and FlexRay.
  • Engineering Degree or Equivalent Qualification. (Electronics, Electrical, Telecommunication, software.)

You'll be open-minded and lateral thinking in the face of challenging timing and product targets, proactive and trust your initiative using minimum supervision to produce practical solutions.
