A key requirement for an award winning consultancy is available, looking for an experience CAD Manager (BIM) to be part of their leadership team in their South Manchester office.

We are working in partnership with an award winning consultancy that specialises in multi-discipline engineering design. They pride themselves on providing the best solutions and most innovative designs to any of the challenges their clients put to them.

Roles and Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the CAD & BIM environment for our client’s South Manchester Office.

Your key roles and responsibilities will include:

  • Technical specialist for the organisation in the application of advanced concepts, principles and methods in both CAD & BIM application.
  • Supporting technical user queries, conducting training and communicating changes and developments to users through workshops and one-to-one sessions
  • Participate in professional development reviews with CAD staff; assist in setting objectives and provide support in pursuit of objectives.
  • Contribute to line management of CAD staff
  • Working with the Project Manager to ensure drawings are being delivered on time and within budget
  • Ensuring compliance with company and clients standards and systems carrying out regular audits/review on quality of drawings/CAD output and adherence to standards
  • Management of software licenses and ensuring current version of software is maintained to company standards
  • Identify and implement new/emerging technologies

Person Specification:

  • Excellent communication skills – both oral and written.
  • Team player, cooperative with other staff with open sharing of information and knowledge.
  • Ability to work without direct supervision.
  • Ability to meet agreed deadlines.

Essential Experience:

  • Minimum HNC Civil Engineering or equivalent.
  • Should have achieved or be working towards I Eng or Eng Tech status
  • 10+ years’ experience
  • Excellent knowledge of industry (British/Global) CAD standards
  • Excellent CAD & BIM skills in AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, Bentley & Projectwise
