Job Purpose: To develop and lead the global competitive positioning & pricing for the Company’s products and options, and the subsequent communication to market. To co-ordinate global Colour and Trim strategy and business plan related assumptions. To challenge and support the Product Strategy & Planning team, the multiple Regional offices and Commercial departments to maximise revenue and contribution.

Key Responsibilities & Tasks:

  • Lead Pricing Strategy & Execution driving increased revenues and contribution to the business
  • Drive the management of global product pricing to maximize business returns
  • Develop and execute the global pricing strategy
  • Lead negotiations with Regional Presidents on sales and budget volumes with respect to pricing modifications
  • Lead Pricing Committee preparation and presentations to gain VP approval of proposals
  • Deliver detailed pricing planning documentation for all countries in which the Company Operates
  • Carry-out strategic analysis of new markets to ensure the Company’s products are competitively priced to achieve volume and contribution targets
  • Assist with the management of current product lines
  • Support of Product Managers and Marketing Intelligence Executive
  • Operational liaison with programme teams
  • Reporting and forecasting of volumes and take rates
  • Support detailed volume planning for all model lines (market analysis)
  • Integrate, plan and align the product & programme assumptions with regional teams.

Strategic studies:

  • Lead the Product Strategy and Planning analysis in the development of project business cases (market research, specifications, volumes and pricing, etc.), making recommendations which meet both customer and business needs
  • Drive the delivery of cross-carline strategies, (Wheel strategy, Audio Strategy etc)
  • Current project management
  • Assist in co-ordinating roll-out of new Colour and Trim Wall and development of samples
  • Co-ordination of cross-carline specification areas. (Colour & Material, Wheel strategy, Audio Strategy, Etc.)

Qualifications & Experience:

  • A Degree (or equivalent) in a business related area, for example, Business, Marketing, Engineering
  • Proven experience in broad automotive role(s), preferably including pricing experience
  • Good presentation skills (written and verbal) and ability to use PowerPoint & especially Excel
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively at all levels (this role interacts with multiple regional offices)
  • Excellent planning skills with strong ability to think strategically
  • Strong and proven business acumen skills
  • Good understanding of all Commercial organisation and business processes
  • Strong desire to learn and progress
