DB4 G.T. Project Engineer

Job Purpose: A 12-18 month Fixed Term Contract, working with the Programme Manager and the wider Company’s teams to deliver the DB4 G.T. track vehicle and assist in providing a unique world class customer experience.

Key Responsibilities & Tasks:

  • Assist in the delivery of DB4 G.T. in line with customer expectations.
  • Assist in the completion of all aspects of the Bill of Materials.
  • Lead the vehicle build and work with build technicians to deliver a right first time build.
  • Create new or use period drawings/sample parts to source and deliver components and vehicle systems through both internal departments and external suppliers.
  • Creation of documentation to support the vehicles – Build Books, Service schedules, Vehicle usage and setup notes, etc.
  • Support customer events and assist in development testing.
  • Willingness to go the extra mile in a customer facing role to support and deliver a world class customer experience.
  • Act as stand-in for the Programme Manager when required.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Automotive or Mechanical Engineering Degree or equivalent, with a proven experience in a Prototype Vehicle/Motorsport role.
  • Confident user of Microsoft Office tools particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent communication and authoritative presentation skills.
  • Self-motivated and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to build up good working relationships across a wide area of the business, and a broad range of external technical partners.
  • Confident and capable vehicle assessor, both static and dynamic.
  • Full valid UK driving license
  • Must be willing and able to travel and work abroad for short periods of time.
  • Fluency in spoken and written English Language.


  • NX CAD creation, and confident Team Centre user.
  • Automotive Electrical skills – build and design of automotive wiring and instrumentation systems.
  • Understanding of fabrication, welding and machine shop skills.
  • Heritage or Classic Car build, development and race experience.
  • Experience in Data logging software.
  • Purchasing, Procurement and BOM management experience.
  • A flexible attitude to working hours so as to ensure the achievement of deadlines and completion dates.
