We’re working in partnership with a global engineering, management and development consultancy that delivers projects across the globe in the Water, Infrastructure, Rail, Nuclear, Oil & Gas and Energy Industries. An exciting opportunity is available for a Mechanical Engineer to working with a leading engineering consultancy supporting major water industry projects in the East Anglia region.

Your role will involve the following;
• Ensure project deliverables meet the agreed standards of the design strategy
• Produce technical schedules and data sheets
• Engineering calculations that include hydraulic calculations, pump hydraulic calculations, structural calculations and carbon calculations
• Support the regular design and discipline meetings
• Provide and maintain an estimate for design works needed
• Work with relevant engineers and Discipline Head within the team to ensure that all technical deliverables are properly checked and approved.

Person Specification:
• Water and waste water treatment processes within the UK water sector
• Full understanding of mechanical conceptual design and optioneering
• Full understanding of mechanical detailed design
• Proven client liaison and communication skills
• Strong commercial awareness
• Experience of delivering design projects to program
• Demonstrable experience of delivering innovation
• Proactive approach, with an ability to adapt to changing scenarios

Essential Experience : 
You must be degree qualified or equivalent to BEng Mechanical Engineering
Ideally a chartered mechanical engineer with extensive UK water experience
