Mechanical, Process and Electrical Engineering Contracting company, looking to recruit for the above position

Roles and Responsibilities:
Functional responsibility and technical support for engineering construction (civil engineering, painting and minor mechanical works) in Scotland (Aberdeen to Dunfermline). Ensures that construction activities are being delivered in a safe, cost effective manner and in compliance with the relevant quality systems and procedures

• Ensure that health, safety and the environment are being managed and delivered to the highest possible standards
• Possess the correct skills, knowledge and experience to fulfil the role of Principal Contractor as laid out in the CDM Regulations 2015
• Competent to produce risk assessments and method statements for general construction tasks
• Plan and supervise the setting up of construction sites, including traffic management, welfare facilities and security
• Competent to initiate requests and then receive Permits to Work
• Complete regular HSE inspections and audits and manage the Project Inspection and Audit Schedule
• Maintain and manage the Temporary Works Register. Fulfil the role of Temporary Works Supervisor
• Set up and maintain regular construction meetings to review HSE performance, programme and quality assurance
• Supervise directly employed, sub-contractor and vendor personnel
• Involved in the preparation and completion of Quality and Inspection & Test Plans
• Ensure quality standards are maintained during installation and then all records are being completed and maintained 
• Support Bilfinger Proposals teams to ensure opportunities are translated into coherent and competitive tender and submissions
• Develop, review, report and manage the programme of construction activities to ensure delivery targets are achieved

• 5-10 years’ experience, successfully managing construction projects on sites in the engineering construction industry
• Driving  a strong safety culture on construction sites
• Experience of supporting PM in management of multi-disciplined trades
• Experience of CDM Principal Contractor role
• Assisting in the management of multiple stakeholder relationships

• Desirable:
o Engineering qualification or trade background
