Job Purpose: To ensure inventory and transactional records are accurate and integrity is maintained. Ensure that all necessary reports and metrics are created, issued and maintained.

Key Responsibilities & Tasks:

  • Ensure that Goldcrest inventory records are accurate by investigating and resolving Launch related stock integrity issues e.g. BOM issues, stock losses etc.
  • Manage the pre-production manual managed list of known BOM errors for each Programme, issuing or receipting stock as necessary to maintain build.
  • To co-ordinate receipt of Launch related inventory count requests and ensure they are allocated for action.
  • Assist Launch Co-ordinators in resolving stock issues in order to protect the build. Physically count parts as necessary.
  • Support and work closely with MODs Control and Launch Co-ordinators to assist with ERN introductions via stock counts, adjusts etc.
  • Assist Launch Co-ordinators with the control and reporting of potential obsolete parts arising from the new model programme
  • To ensure that all inventory and open to go reports and metrics are issued and maintained for review by Senior Managers and Directors.
  • Develop process improvements to protect integrity of inventory records.

Key Performance Indicators:

  • Net and gross financial inventory discrepancies / adjusts
  • Launch related misfits due to stock losses and other inventory issues
  • Inventory record accuracy – right part, right quantity and right location
  • Obsolete stock by value

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Experience in Material Planning & Logistics or material planning desired, ideally in the automotive industry
  • Experience of inventory management (stock counting) essential
  • Ability to communicate with tact and diplomacy, together with the ability to work accurately and efficiently, taking resourceful action during periods of considerable pressure
  • Knowledge of all AML Production areas would be an advantage
  • Automotive components experience desirable
  • Microsoft Excel and Powerpoint advanced skills are essential as required to generate complex metrics for reporting out
  • Degree or Higher diploma qualified or equivalent preferable
