A major rail project in London is seeking a Planning Manager to work on a contract basis, to advise and assess logistics and construction methods.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Assessment and advice on logistics and construction methods.
  • Production, maintenance & monitoring the Master Programme (covering Design, Documentation, Procurement & Construction) and providing regular monthly Clause 32 updates.
  • Assist with the developemnt of Construction Programme with respect to the Buildings and external works with the relevant Section Manager / Engineer.
  • Production, development and monitoring of Target Programmes
  • Assessment and monitoring of Sub-contractor Programmes
  • Assistance and production of Key Planning Schedules (e.g. IRS, S/C Procurement, Materials, etc.).
  • Provide information to feed into the Design EPPR and other Project Controls requirements.

Previous Training / Experience:

To be able to carry out your obligations for this role you must be accredited with training or previous experience of

  • BSc Degree level in Building or Civil Engineering
  • Professional Membership of a recognised organisation such as CIOB or ICE (though not essential, it would be desirable)
  • CSCS card holder.
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience of Planning on Building and/or Civil Engineering Projects.
  • Previous training in NEC Contracts and relevant Clauses
  • Competent user of P6 Enterprise
  • Knowledge of other Planning Software such as, Asta Teamplan, Microsoft Project, etc.
  • Held a position of a similar nature
