We are working in partnership with a global consultancy that specialises in delivering project in the water and natural resources sectors. They provide support and engineering throughout the project lifecycle covering all disciplines operating in over 35 countries. Assignments are available for experienced commissioning engineers to support an energy from waste project based in Leicestershire.

Our client are looking to strengthen their Commissioning team with Commissioning Engineers to work specifically on an energy from waste project based in Leicestershire. Within this role you will you will provide Commissioning services to allow the company to minimise risks and maximise profits on turnkey and engineering services contracts.

The areas needed are:
2 x EC&I Commissioning Engineers
2 x Mechanical / Process Commissioning Engineers
You will report directly to the Commissioning Manager and duties/responsibilities of the role will include:

• Provide commissioning expertise.
• Provide the appropriate level of quality.
• Participate in continuous improvement of the business processes.
• Plan resource requirements at project level.
• To achieve profitable operation in commissioning at project level.
• To provide cost effective system commissioning and ICA engineering.
• To commissioning projects within budget allowed.
• To provide cost effective system commissioning and ICA engineering.
• To operate business processes within the framework of an ISO9000:2000 and TickIT certified Quality Management System.
• To assure effective documentation of the commissioning process, including commissioning data and as built documentation, input to O&Ms and feedback to the design disciplines.
• Recognise the importance of satisfying the customer as the key to achieving other objectives.
• Maintain Health and Safety levels during the commissioning activities.
• Recognise that Health and Safety considerations are central to all tasks, and contribute to ensuring safe working environment for all.
• Report safety issues responsibly, and participate in improving practice.

Person Specification:
Essential
Commissioning in a contracting environment
Complex commissioning projects;
Process control systems and strategies;
Electrical and instrumentation systems;
Working within a certified quality management system.
HNC/HND and above

Desirable:
Previous experience within the energy from waste industry
MEICA commissioning
Process commissioning projects.
Process control systems and strategies
PLC/SCADA systems, coupled with electrical and instrumentation systems
Working within a certified quality management system.
Working with subcontract suppliers
Site based Health and Safety requirements
BSc/B Eng/MSc in relevant engineering discipline – Process Engineering or Science, Mechanical, Electrical/Electronics, Instrumentation/Control

Candidates must be capable of commissioning a water steam cycle and support a small Siemens Steam Turbine (11MW). Must have power station / generation experience.

Essential Experience: 
• Commissioning in a contracting environment
• Proven experience of Process control systems and strategies or Electrical and instrumentation systems
• Working within a certified quality management system.
• HNC/HND and above
• Recent power station or power generation experience
