We currently have an immediate requirement for Maintenance Manager to work for a leading international chemical manufacturing specialist. You will be involved in promoting SHE, development & implementation of site management systems, planning site maintenance, asset integrity & identifying poor performing equipment. This role is a key position with responsibility for £5m+ budget and line management of a large maintenance team.

Role and Responsibilities include:

  • Actively promote SHE: Comply with and promote site SHE policy and procedures. Ensure site complies with all relevant regulations, policies & procedures concerning engineering & maintenance
  • Attend and contribute to team SHE meetings.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of site management systems: Actively develop and maintain systems. Take responsibility for standards & systems under maintenance dept. control. Deliver continuous improvement across the maintenance arena through use of key performance indicators.
  • Asset Integrity. Responsible for the upkeep of statutory systems as defined by the PES and PSSR regulations, ensuring that the company operates within the legal framework and that any non-statutory systems identified as Basis of Safety equipment and/or containing CoMAH chemicals have similar stringent controls.
  • Deliver agreed plant availability. Identify poor performing equipment and use predictive, preventative and design out maintenance techniques to continuously improve plant availabilities improving OEE and in doing so reduce maintenance spend.
  • Responsible for budgetary control. Deliver the agreed cost centre maintenance budgets
  • Support delivery of professional Maintenance services to the business: Responsible for the implementation of relevant maintenance & engineering codes of practice/standards.
  • Support plant development. Provide maintenance input to centrally managed projects. Deliver own agreed capital and revenue projects to time, cost and scope.
  • Support development of staff. Support development of staff through relevant personal assessments and development of technical competencies, and promotion of teamwork within and between teams

Ideally your experience will include:-

  • Engineering degree or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience on a Manufacturing Site in a functional role.
  • Working in a chemical or other highly regulated environment.
