An opportunity is available for a Contracts Manager to join the Residential division due to continued growth, based in St Asaph with travel to sites across North Wales and North West.

We are assisting a leading development and construction company that specialises in homes, accommodation and building projects across the UK.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Managing the subcontractors appointed on the project and ensuring they each deliver on time and within budget.
  • Auditing and monitoring my sites in respect of health and safety and along with the site agent for ensuring the site is well managed from a safety point of view.
  • Produce monthly management reports on the contract status for the directors.
  • Monitoring site progress in the form of weekly internal site meetings.
  • Reporting to the client on site progress in the form of contract site meetings.
  • Monitoring plant usage on site.
  • Produce site reports.
  • Review diary reports.
  • Organise and lead site meetings.
  • Communicate and liaise with relevant directors to ensure smooth site operations.
  • Discuss and review progress with construction director on a daily basis.
  • Formulate and present progress reporting structure both internally and to the client.
  • Overall responsibility for construction, through to the completion of the building, to the agree programme.
  • Formulating and agreeing main contract programmes.
  • To set the agenda for the construction process.
  • Ensure site team manage in overall terms Site Health and Safety Policy, security and fire policies.
  • Ensure site team set up and work too main site filling system.
  • Control contractual correspondence and distribution of information.
  • Oversee preparation and issuing of Operating and Maintenance manuals.
  • Attend post hand over review meetings.
  • Plan, direct and review Health & Safety training requirements.
  • Encourage and develop communication methods employed by staff and nurture positive supportive approach to developing staff.
  • To discuss, support and advise team members on a regular individual and team basis.
  • Liaise with Human Resources for additional support.
  • Other relevant tasks as required.

Essential Experience:

  • NVQ Level 4, HND, Degree or equivalent qualifications or equivalent experience

  • Scaffolding certificate
  • CSCS Card
