We are working in partnership with a global consultancy that specialises in providing engineering, management, and development services on projects in 150 countries. An opportunity is available for a Business Development Assistant to provide support to the business development manager, based in Altrincham.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • The role will be heavily involved in the preparation of proposals tendering for work within nuclear sectors.
  • Working in conjunction with the business development manager, engineers and other managers within the company to help prepare proposal responses within tight deadlines
  • Liaison with third parties outside of the company and first-class communication skills are essential
  • Preparation of marketing material in support of the company presence at exhibitions and other industry events
  • Attendance and company representation at events throughout the UK

Person Specification:

  • First-class communication skills are essential
  • Collaborative working

Essential Experience:

  • Candidates will have previous experience of proposal writing within a similar utility, engineering or construction orientated organisation.
  • A history of liaising with engineers and other technical staff is essential
  • The role has strong design and marketing elements and so media and design skills are essential.
  • As well as the standard Microsoft office packages you will need specific desktop publishing experience particularly using Adobe In design software.
