Define the best sequence of the Construction and Testing activities for M&E packages (mechanical Walkways Pipework and PD an FM) and record the progress and report to Project Management level. The scope of the works involves the Fire Main, Pump Drainage, Tunnel Walkways and Cross-Passenger Doors.

Objectives:

To manage the M&E program (Mechanical) for the project
Provide an effective and efficient planning service to the mechanical teams
To assist the M&E (Mechanical) teams on planning elements of their work
Manage the planning at all stages of a project, identifying any rectification action required and influencing the parties responsible to complete these actions
Lead the generation of programs (and their re-baselining where required) involving the project team to give understanding, buy-in and commitment
Application of technical and construction knowledge to produce integrated programs
Establishment of accurate and up-to-date programme metrics to define the status of projects across the fit-out and commissioning.

Responsibilities:

Maintain plus update the M&E (mechanical) activities forming part of the General Program of work.
Write reports to summarize Construction and Testing activities, including descriptions of milestones.
Identify risk activities and propose contingency plan to the Project Management.
Provide recommendations to the Project Management to define recovery measures if required.
Attend weekly meetings with project team (M&E weekly meeting, Project Schedule Review, etc.)
Open minded and good communicator you will spend a significant part of your time on Site to review actual progress and understand the reality of the field.
Lead M&E commissioning planner, via a fluid movement from construction through IRN’s

Desired Knowledge / Experience:

Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, project or construction management, or equivalent vocational training and experience
Proficient with Primavera P6 in Enterprise environment
Experience on large scale construction projects
Demonstrable previous experience of construction planning.
Thorough knowledge of construction methods and processes
Experience of using planning and project control processes
Intermediate knowledge and understanding of Excel and other MS Office packages
Planning and construction processes and methods
Strong knowledge and understanding of use of planning tools
Understanding and able to recommend methods of construction
Ability to interpret project documentation

Skills / Competencies:
