Managing and activating strategic commercial relationships e.g. partnerships, sponsorships, licensees for automotive manufacturer

Key Responsibilities and Tasks:
• Identify new and existing suppliers who would like to enter into a formal marketing partnership with Aston Martin
• Manage the relationships between Aston Martin and its Official Technical Partners and Suppliers
• Be the primary point of contact at Aston Martin for those partners and provide a consultative activation service
• Ensure that both parties maximise each partnership to its fullest potential, so that the agreement may be upsold/increased on renewal
• Work closely with engineering, purchasing and sales to identify new and existing suppliers who may wish to engage in a marketing partnership
• Develop targeted pitch documents and proposals and present them to prospects
• Negotiate rights packages, in return for financial or value in kind remuneration
• Work across several key Aston Martin functions/departments, to deliver contractual assets and fully integrate partners into AM’s core marketing and communications activities (global and regional):
- Marketing
- PR & Communications
- Digital
- Events
• Co-write an activation plan with each partner, identifying the key milestones and opportunities for them to engage with Aston Martin’s own roadmap
• Work with colleagues to provide a suite of core activation assets e.g. brand partner guidelines, photography and film footage, activation calendar
• Work with marketing, communications and design, to ensure timely approvals of materials submitted for approval by the partners
• Be prepared to travel to meetings and events for the purposes of hosting partners and their VIP guests

Relevant Experience:
• Experience in managing and activating strategic commercial relationships e.g. partnerships, sponsorships, licensees
• Ideally some experience of working with or at an automotive brand
• Solid grasp of the “Marketing Mix” – Above and below the line

Skills and Abilities:
• Communication – Ability to bring people on a journey
• Credibility – Able to engage with senior level execs and CEOs
• Presentations – Able to write presentations and present them
• IT skills – E-mail, Word, Powerpoint, Excel & an understanding of social media platforms

• Educated to degree level

Remuneration Package:
• Salary circa £45,000 per annum.
