Internal Recruitment Advisor

Role

We our currently partnered with a major international player in the nuclear energy market recognised for its innovative solutions and value-added technologies for designing, building, maintaining, and advancing the global nuclear fleet.

  • The company designs, manufactures, and installs components, fuel and instrumentation and control systems for nuclear power plants and offers a full range of reactor services.
  • With 14,000 employees worldwide, every day their expertise helps its customers improve the safety and performance of their nuclear plants and achieve their economic and societal goals.
  • Currently 200 strong the plan is to grow to 400-500 by 2025 through the development our UK nuclear service offerings.

How you will make a difference:

  • Working as part of a small HR team to drive excellence in the end-to-end resourcing process.
  • Your focus will be on the development of an effective talent pipeline and driving an efficient selection process.
  • This will cover external and internal sourcing and supporting the creation of the graduate and apprenticeship programmes.

What you will be doing:

  • Employer Brand: - Making us an ‘Employer of Choice’
    • Develop and deliver brand and attraction initiatives to build our reputation in the marketplace
    • Be a brand ambassador by promoting the company social media presence and engaging managers to use of these tools
  • Talent Pipeline Management: - Systems and processes to identify talent
    • Establish and continually develop a diverse range of candidate sourcing channels to maximise the number of qualified candidates within our talent pools
    • Build value adding relationships with external sources including: universities; colleges; careers fairs; job boards; agencies; and more.
    • Work with third parties to create recruitment communication materials and branded merchandise for careers event giveaways
    • Ensure the effective use of the ATS and social media to build a bank of talent including the integration of the channels where possible
    • Collaborate with the wider specialist teams (and other regional teams)
    • Understand our internal talent pool and provide opportunities for internal mobility within the UK and across the group
  • Effectively and efficiently manage stakeholder’s expectations
    • Be the central point for recruitment management advice and guidance for hiring managers and HR Advisors as our recruitment specialist
    • Collate and create activity updates for internal and external customers
    • Produce periodical reports of recruitment effectiveness and efficiency
  • Selection Process: - Process management
    • Deliver against key performance indicators (KPIs) of quality, time, cost, sourcing mix and candidate/manager experience
    • Support hiring managers and HR Advisors with the preparation of job descriptions, competency profiles, selection/assessment toolkits
    • Participating in candidate evaluation and selection processes including initial screening and shortlisting
    • Partner with the HR Advisors who will be partnered with hiring managers
    • Oversee and facilitate a smooth flow of admin throughout the recruitment process e.g. HR Advisors communication to the candidate and hiring manager

Tools:

  • Manage the applicant tracking system (ATS) and continuously review performance to maximise its capability
  • Oversee the HR Advisor’s use of the ATS and provide training where beneficial

Graduates & Apprenticeships: - Schemes

  • Lead on the coordination of the graduate and apprenticeship programmes

  • Proven in-house recruitment and resourcing experience
  • A demonstrable interest in pursuing a career in HR (Resourcing and talent management specific ideally)
  • Sound knowledge and experience with different effective selection and assessment techniques
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Sound time management and planning skills
  • Strong influencing, facilitation, and coaching skills
  • Strong stakeholder management skills
  • Customer focused with a collaborative approach
  • Excellent abilities to build and maintain strong working relationships
  • Strong internal and external communications skills and confidence with social media
  • High-level of self-motivation, independence, and self-reliance
  • Knowledge of and experience with the use of Microsoft Office®
  • Confident communicator with a persuasive writing style
  • Good attention to detail producing accurate information
  • Knowledge and understanding of fundamental HR principles such as employment law and diversity etc.
  • Able to identify when to escalate information to minimise the risk of significant negative impacts
  • Comfortable working with different levels of colleagues from manual hands-on workers to senior management
