We have a great opportunity for an efficient, personable and proactive Administration Manager to join our team based in Runcorn, Cheshire.

The Millbank Group has over 30 years of experience delivering resource business solutions for project management, project controls, engineering, technical, automation, IT and commercial management personnel to a wide range of industry sectors and world class clients. The group turnover is £70 million and is forecasted to increase by 18% over the next five years with the recent award of some prestigious contracts. The Millbank Group consists of the following companies, Priory Design, MDA Technical, MDA Commercial and MDA Rail which are all based at our Head Office in Cheshire, with additional offices in Derby and Manchester.

This is a newly created role offering responsibility and variety. Your team of administrators is key to the success of our busy recruitment agency. Consultants through to Directors depend on the admin team to keep business processes running efficiently, so your role as Administration Manager is especially important to maintain office productivity.

About you:

  • To cope with the demands of the role you’ll need to be well-organised, time efficient, accurate and able to motivate and nurture your team, dealing quickly and effectively with any issues.
  • You will need to demonstrate good leadership behaviours.
  • Have lots of initiative, excellent people skills, efficient with systems and processes and a meticulous attention to detail.
  • Comprehensive computer skills with a good knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite.


  • Reporting to the Group Business Support Manager, you’ll be responsible for organising all of the administrative activities that facilitate the efficient running of the resource management team. This includes the organising of people, information and other resources.
  • As part of the administration team, you’ll take on core recruitment admin tasks – onboarding new starters, processing contracts and importantly ensuring compliance in line with company, client and legal requirements.
  • You will manage the admin team on a day-to-day basis as well as developing new procedures to enhance services provided by the team.
  • Nurturing your team to work to required standards, you will manage workflows and ensure full utilisation.
  • Reporting back to consultants, Business Managers and Directors on critical timescales and concerns.
  • Ensuring that the admin and resource management teams comply with legal and regulatory requirements along with internal policies
  • You’ll ensure that office equipment is maintained, relevant records are up to date and that all administration processes work effectively.
