You’ll deliver short courses including PTS and other critical safety training at our outstanding training facility in Cheshire.

The Company

Established in 1998, MDA Rail Training (part of the Millbank Group) is graded “outstanding” by the National Skills Association for Rail (NSAR). Our expanding, dynamic and progressive training centre is tailored specially towards the socially and economically diverse rail industry.

Skills & experience

Essential

  • NSAR registered Licensed Trainer
  • Valid and current COSS Qualification
  • Experienced in delivery of COSS, PTS, AC, DCCR, LKT, IWA, OLP, CRP, LLT, PC, TIC, ICI and Railway Engineering
  • Knowledge of government funded employment and training programmes
  • Verifier Qualification (IQA, V1, CAVA, EQA, AIQAPP, CLIQAAP, AEQAPP, CLEQAAP)
  • Assessment/Assessing/Assessor Qualifications (A1, TAQA, CAVA, ACWE, AVRA, IQAA, A2)
  • Teaching Qualification (PTLLS, CTLLS, DTLLS, PGCE, CertEd, 7407)

Desirable

  • Occupational history and competence within the rail industry
  • Minimum 3-5 years training experience
  • Management experience
  • The ability to motivate and encourage people
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Accurate report writing and record keeping skills
  • Planning and delivering vocational training programmes and workshops
  • Observing and assessing learners in their workplace
  • Good sound knowledge of the rail and safety issues within the industry (5 years minimum experience)
  • Full safety knowledge of Track Safety, COSS, Track Induction
  • A1 & V1 or equivalent Award
  • Teaching qualification
