8 of our Favourite Aston Martins - 12 Days of Christmas - Day 5

On day 5 of our "12 Days" countdown we asked our Automotive team which Aston Martin they'd ask Santa for, if he could fit it down their chimney.

Aston Martin DB5 (1963)

This is probably the most iconic car of all time, made famous by James Bond in Goldfinger, but Senior Recruitment Consultant Jacqui Reynolds favours it for another reason. “Ginger Spice has a DB5, and I’m a secret Spice Girl – plus my hair is red.”

Aston Martin Vantage (2018)

The newest Aston Martin, the 2018 update to the Vantage, would be the Aston of choice for Senior Recruitment Consultant Stephanie Whiston. She’s not the only one, as the first batch of pre-orders have already sold out.

Aston Martin DB7 (1994)

This was picked by Senior Recruitment Consultant David Midwood, who used top work for someone who owned a DB7. “We used to take it out on visits, just to wind people up,” David recalls.

Aston Martin AM37 (2016)

Automotive Business Manager and team leader Alan Johnson has even loftier dreams, preferring to take on the open seas with Aston Martin’s debut powerboat, the AM37. Next, he’ll probably set his sights on the Aston Martin-designed luxury condos in Miami…

Aston Martin DBR9 (2005)

Ben Usher, Recruitment Consultant, saw the DBR9 in action at the Le Mans 24 Hour race in 2008. “We saw it win for the second year in a row,” says Ben. “It’s a fantastic looking race car.”

Aston Martin Valkyrie (2018)

The forthcoming Aston Martin hypercar, the Valkyrie, is set to be a favourite of kids playing Top Trumps for year to come. It’s also already a favourite of Recruitment Consultant John Hall, who would love to sit behind the wheel of this Aston Martin-Red Bull Racing collaboration.

Aston Martin Vanquish Zagato (2016)

This may be the dream car of Darcy Eddison, Recruitment Resourcer, but she doesn’t expect to be parking one on her drive just yet. “It’s a great looking car that I don’t think I’ll ever be able to afford!”

Aston Martin DB11 (2016)

Last but by no means least is the DB11. The first model launched since Aston Martin’s “second century plan”, the acclaimed DB11 certainly lives up to its heritage. Recruitment Consultant Ben Lee certainly wouldn’t mind taking this 2-door coupé on a grand tour.

Which Aston Martin is your all-time favourite? Let us know on Facebook, LinkedIn or Twitter, and be sure to check back soon for day 6 of our "12 Days of Christmas" countdown.
