Millbank were delighted to take part in the ‘Engineering Your Future’ event this past Friday at the Halliwell Jones Stadium in Warrington.
The event was an opportunity for students and prospective future engineers to meet those working in the industry face to face, so they could learn about the kinds of roles available and how to go about becoming an engineer.
Many top engineering companies were well represented at the event, some of whom are Millbank’s partners in the industry. The students took full advantage of the chance to meet with the likes of Atkins, Nuvia, Sellafield Ltd, Rolls-Royce, Essar, Croda and Campbell Reith, as well as important industry bodies supporting the event, such as the Institute of Mechanical Engineers and All About STEM.
It was also a chance for Millbank to connect with young engineers, with some of our Senior Recruitment Consultants advising them on how to go about gaining employment and experience in the industry once qualified.
James Leon, Director at Millbank, said of the event:
“Millbank were really happy to speak to so many enthusiastic young people excited about careers in engineering. It’s so important for us encourage people from all different backgrounds, as a strong future for the UK industry depends on talented individuals, so we’re always keen to support ‘Engineering Your Future events’ and the good work that Institute of Mechanical Engineers does, headed by Ron Faulkner.”
