At Millbank, we're raising money for Genetic Disorders UK by donning our denim on Jeans for Genes Day.
Friday 23rd September 2016 is Jeans for Genes Day, and the whole Millbank office is taking part by coming to work in jeans (and any other denim they could find), donating £2 per item worn to Jeans for Genes.
Jeans for Genes Day funds Genetic Disorders UK, a charity with a vision to improve the lives of individuals and families affected by genetic disorders.
Here's why we're supporting Jeans for Genes Day:
- There are between 4,000 and 6,000 diagnosed genetic disorders.
- One in 25 children is affected by a genetic disorder.
- 30,000 babies and children are newly diagnosed in the UK each year.
- 21 charities and support groups will receive a grant from money raised on Jeans for Genes Day 2016.
