John Bishop presented with Runcorn Linnets shirt at blue plaque ceremony

Runcorn Linnets FC, for whom Millbank are the main sponsor, were paid a visit today by comedian John Bishop.

Star comedian John Bishop, who played in midfield for Runcorn AFC in the 1980s, was back in a Runcorn Linnets FC shirt this morning at the unveiling of a blue plaque to commemorate his many and varied achievements in the entertainment world, as well as his charity work.

The blue plaque is the latest to be erected by the Runcorn Historical Society and is placed at Ormiston Bollingbroke Academy, which is on the site of Brookvale High where John went to school.

John was presented with a personalised Linnets non-playing third shirt, featuring our Millbasnk logo as main club sponsor, and provided by Runcorn Linnets kit partner Macron.
