The Millbank team enjoyed a night of bowling at Tenpin Cheshire Oaks last night.
The night was a great opportunity for staff from different parts of the business to socialise and have a good time.
“There was a bit of good humoured competitive banter,” said Rail Compliance Officer Lynne Bergin, adding “Great venue and good atmosphere - I definitely had a great time.”
There was high drama on the last throw of the game, as Automotive Recruitment Consultant John Hall had the opportunity to drive home a winning strike – but it was not to be for his team, “Livin’ On a Spare”.
After many strikes, splits, spares and even a few gutter balls, the victor emerged – Millbank’s hotshot Built Environment Resourcer Ben Usher proved to be the star bowler with an overall score of 268, guiding his team to victory.
In a winning statement, Ben commented “People have always said that Bowling was right up my alley, I suppose it’s because I had time to spare. I’m just glad I had a team around me to prevent me striking out.”
Congratulations team “Lord of the Pins” with a winning score of 995, featuring Ben Usher and Tony Marsden from the Built Environment team, Jenny Jones and Heather Brackenridge from Accounts, and Greg Steel from the Automotive team, on their decisive victory.
In second place was Team “Bowling Stones”, scoring 784, comprising of Billy Spencer, Sarah Holland, Albert Cochrane, James Leon and Sean Boswell.
In the bronze position with a score of 778 was “Livin’ on a Spare”, the team of Jo Leeson, Frank Roby, Lynne Bergin, John Hall and Jennifer Powell.
