As Master Scheduler, your main responsibility will be to lead overall mass production schedule creation & execution across AML and the supply base.

Main Responsibilities & Tasks

  • Liaise with Sales & other related Depts to ensure production plan/PTS reflects customer requirements.
  • Create mass production build schedule.
  • Allocate customer orders into vehicle ‘slots’ in the production schedule – ensure delivery dates are met, supply lead times respected and ensure production constraints are not broken.
  • Manage forecast management in the slots table.
  • Update production volumes in system on a daily basis.
  • Generate TLS and issue out to supply base
  • Manage the sales order amendment process – to ensure changes do not impact on production or existing supplier deliveries.
  • Manage model year run out and run in planning.
  • Liaise with Launch Team for the scheduling of Product Development cars within Mass Production schedule.
  • Ensure successful production schedule completion & control.
  • Lead company-wide production schedule control via Control Centre (daily meetings & as required.
  • Ensure “Build to Sequence” across all area.
  • Manage & own all related production control related data to maintain smooth flow & promote continuous improvement.
  • Utilise actual experience & data of production system to initiate continuous improvement across all related KPI’s.
  • Lead any special improvement activities, as required.
  • Reflect learnings to New Model scheduling to improve new model scheduling through to Job 1.
  • Any other related tasks to maintain or improve production scheduling & execution.

Qualification and Experience

  • Experience in vehicle or production planning, ideally in the automotive industry (production).
  • An awareness of Aston Martin Production System / Lean Manufacturing would be an advantage.

Job Purpose: To ensure all inventory records are accurate and integrity is maintained for the programme.

Key Responsibilities and Tasks:

  • Ensure that all inventory records are accurate on the computer system by ensuring all stock integrity issues are resolved.
  • To ensure that all necessary reports and metrics are issued and maintained for review by Senior Managers and Directors.
  • To co-ordinate receipt of all inventory count requests and ensure they are allocated for action. 
  • To liaise with the Lead Logistics Provider and other AML departments to control inventory levels in all locations.

  • Assist the Launch Co-ordinators with the control and reporting of potential obsolete parts at model year change.
  • Control scrap and reject processes to ensure all transactions are accurately performed.
  • Develop process improvements to protect integrity of inventory records.

  • Accuracy of counts and inventory adjustments made – no secondary corrections for first count errors.

Job Purpose: To ensure the solution for delivering parts to the point of fit on the vehicle is optimised in terms of cost, lead time and space utilisation for Aston Martin, the supplier and Lead Logistics Provider.

Key Responsibilities & Tasks:

  • Work with the Lead Logistics Provider (LLP) and other suppliers to ensure there is a viable logistics plan for every part fitted to a car – this will include reviews of current solution and proposed changes
  • Liaise with the Packaging Team and other members of the Logistics Engineering Team to ensure logistics flows (for parts and packaging) and packaging loops are defined, costed and implemented
  • Support the delivery of visual factory and synchronised material flow standards (Aston Martin parts supply standard) – where required for the role, define and implement these standards
  • Support the Logistics Engineering Team in responding to forecast budget requests for proposed new models
  • Where new logistics solutions are required, project manage the implementation
  • Create and maintain detailed Logistics Planning timing plans and metrics for each project
  • Co-ordinate project spend to ensure delivery remains on budget
  • Support Company Project planning cycles, for example, launch gateways and readiness reviews
  • Manage the decant process, reporting monthly results and initiating actions to reduce level of decant within the business
  • This role will be required to cover the Logistics Engineering roles within the Team for holiday and sick cover, so additional tasks will be required from time to time


Qualification & Experience:

  • 2 years related logistics planning experience
  • Ability to communicate with tact and diplomacy, together with the ability to work accurately and efficiently, taking resourceful action during periods of considerable pressure
  • Able to work independently and solve problems
  • High degree of MS Office knowledge is essential (with emphasis on Excel)

The purpose of this role is to schedule and control the supply of components/materials to meet immediate AM5 VP production requirements and forward production programmes consistent with attaining target stock levels. To be aware of all factors that affects or may affect availability of use/fitment for all parts controlled.

Key Responsibilities and Tasks:

  • Generate and communicate supplier material delivery schedules to ensure that they correctly reflect requirements to meet immediate and future production demands.
  • Assure supply of materials to meet the production schedule and / or minimum safety stock levels.
  • Understand and manage risks to the material supply plan to minimise impact on the production schedule.
  • Take the lead in co-ordinating the implementation of modifications with the supply base to minimise obsolete stock and assure material availability.
  • Initiate inventory management and stock adjustments when required, to maintain continued accuracy and reliability of stock records.  Key liaison with the Logistics Provider and Inventory Analysis Team to ensure inventory record accuracy.
  • Develop supplier relationships to allow constructive discussions to take place regarding delivery KPI improvements on behalf of the business.  Lead and co-ordinate improvement plans with suppliers that are not performing.
  • Negotiate with supplier, the finance for “special transport” to ensure costs are kept to an absolute minimum, whilst maintaining material availability.  
  • Where quality problems threaten production continuity, raise containments/rework requests, organize rework required, obtain suppliers authorization for cost where applicable to enable release of goods not confirming to Engineering specification. 
  • Lead quantity related invoice queries.
  • Assist Accounts Department in resolution of price related invoice queries.

Key Performance Indicators

  • On time in full supply of parts to delivery schedule.
  • Arrears – number of suppliers and number of parts.
  • Parts missed point of fit and line stops.
