We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced engineer to join our Clients Highway Engineering Team.

The successful candidate will join a growing and vibrant Development Infrastructure team providing strong technical guidance whilst contributing to work-winning with both existing and new clients. They will be responsible for delivering a broad range of services to public and private sector clients and partners, including:

Preparation of feasibility studies, preliminary through to detailed design for highways infrastructure;
Obtaining statutory approvals;
Contract preparation and procurement;
Site supervision and construction management

We are looking for a Senior Engineer who can manage projects and a small team of graduate engineers to deliver infrastructure engineering work. The work ranges from preliminary designs for Transport Assessments and feasibility studies through to detailed design and site supervision. The candidate will be expected to support more junior staff in the production of reports, drawings and calculations and deliver these to the client in a timely manner. Current work includes Residential development and Commercial development

  • Experience of 3D highway design packages is essential preferably in Civils 3D, however, experience of MX or PDS is also beneficial.

Job Description

  • You will undertake commissioning activates for both clean and wastewater sites. Electrical and ICA design of water and wastewater schemes as part of a large multidisciplinary team.
  • Projects vary from pumping stations and water treatment plants to sea outfalls.

Typical duties will include:-

  • Producing documentation prior to commencement of work on site.
  • Managing and carrying hands on commissioning of automated waste and water recycling control systems.
  • Completing commissioning test documentation for handover of new assets.
  • Liaising with engineers from other disciplines, during the design stage.
  • Creating Commissioning Plans and liaising with Project Planners to establish timelines for each project.
  • Implementing and managing commissioning plans in line with framework H&S, CDM and relevant AWS operational procedures.
  • Fault finding and optimising systems.
  • Ideally you’re experience / qualifications will include:-
  • BTEC lvl 3 or above or equivalent qualification in Electrical or Electronic Engineering.
  • Demonstrable commissioning experience.
  • Working on water and water recycling site.
  • Practical knowledge of water and/or water recycling procedures and processes.
  • As site based hold a valid clean UK driving licence.

Our client is a successful and long established demolition and asbestos removal company working both in the private and public sectors. Reporting directly to the operations and Contracts Director, the contracts manager will split their time between our head office in Wirral and client site locations in Merseyside, Cheshire and surrounding areas.
