Job Purpose: The purpose of the role is to project manage the introduction of new or modified Telematics systems, Stolen Vehicle Tracking, E call, Glonass and lead connected car strategy.

Key Responsibilities & Tasks:
The key responsibilities and tasks of the role include:

Business Planning:

  • Manage 5 year commodity strategy & get relevant new technologies to implementation ready within agreed Function budget, resource & timing.
  • Create engineering guideline documents and archetypes for platform and non-platform engineered components.
  • Work with application engineer & Product Cost Estimating to set platform commodity programme financial targets based on improved archetypes & strategic suppliers.
  • Define to application engineer resource requirements (internal & external) for platform commodities.

Engineering:

  • Ensure platform commodities achieve the programme’s cascaded system level targets, supporting Concept reviews as required.

Delivery:

  • Deliver the programme QCWFT (quality, cost, weight, function and timing) requirements to the application engineer. TDC
  • Ensure that the commodity meets the Function plan (with the component suppliers), creating & managing recovery plans as required. Includes releasing platform components (BoM, tooling launch).
  • Monitor internal & external resource utilisation to identify potential efficiency improvements for the next programme.

Validation:

  • Create & manage the platform commodity’s virtual & physical DV plan.
  • Ensures effective report writing to identify potential efficiency improvements for the next programme.
  • Ensure that all platform concerns are robustly resolved & provide technical support for application concerns.
  • Complete FESO documentation for platform commodities.
  • The post holder will undertake other duties as may be required to achieve the Company’s objectives, commensurate with the grading of the post.

Qualifications & Experience:
The successful applicant will possess the following skills and attributes:

  • Engineering HNC / HND with experience specific to this commodity.
  • Engineering degree or equivalent qualification.
  • Preferably Chartered Engineering status or equivalent
  • Proven record of delivering Electrical or Electronics commodities, including quality, cost, function, weight and timing.
  • Experience of delivering the following commodities: tracker & e-call, Telematics and connected services.
  • Experience of working with external certification agencies for OEM approvals.
  • Extensive knowledge of automotive development systems e.g. releasing, concerns, containments, gateways and sign off documentation.
  • Experience of leading a cross functional team, including complex issue resolution.
  • Supplier management experience.
  • Complete knowledge of Product Development cycle from concept to launch completion.
  • Excellent technical engineering background and a comprehensive knowledge of using calculation and analysis to drive design.
  • Excellent knowledge of automotive quality tools and processes.
  • Extensive knowledge of the manufacturing processes to create the components or systems.
  • Must be able to both lead and work within teams effectively.
  • Must be able to manage external suppliers to deliver best in class systems.
  • Must have a good working knowledge of Stolen vehicle Tracking, Ecall and telematics.
  • Must be able to project manage to deliver required attributes in budget, to quality and on time.
  • Must be able to define and conduct relevant system testing to validate designs.
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Must be able to work under their own initiative with minimum supervision to deliver objectives.
  • Should have a working knowledge of the Thatcham CAT5 specification and sign-off process for Stolen Vehicle Recovery Systems.
  • Should have good presentation skills.
  • Should have a good understanding of engineering process and a working knowledge of industry standard tool sets (FMEA, DVP, Six Sigma, PPAP etc.).
  • A successful candidate must hit the ground running within a well-established team under significant daily pressure of work. The candidate must show strong character attributes as well as the necessary knowledge and experience above. The best candidate will be open-minded and lateral thinking in the face of stiff timing and product targets. Job Purpose This position will be a focal point for delivery of all customer engagement projects across the Company. This will include coordinating all aspects of the welcome and loyalty strategy including creation and execution of personalised digital & printed content to our global customer base. JOB PURPOSE: The role of senior analyst is key to our global strategy of providing customers with the highest standards of technical support. The technical specialist will need to work very closely with line management to plan detailed work programmes. The main function of a senior analyst is to support the fibre analysis from a technical standpoint and when required to support the shift analysts. The senior analyst is a day-based role, reporting to the Laboratory Quality Control Manager and when required will cover holidays and sickness for the Laboratory QC Manager and the Shift Team (days).

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Regularly monitor analytical data on a daily basis by review of data input by shift analysts.
  • To produce technical reports to prove compliance, in line with laboratory standards and TS16949.
  • By review of this data use technical knowledge and application of specification knowledge
  • To release analysed material for sale and despatch via MRP system,
  • To validate certificates of analysis, as required.
  • Provision of MSA and statistical analysis in order to validate product and equipment.
  • To act as Shift analyst to ensure technical cover is provided, as required
  • Technically manage disposition routes for fibre not meeting the planned tolerance range within a manufacturing campaign, including performing analysis as required
  • Develop and deliver technical training packages, alongside the Laboratory Quality Control Manager.
  • SHE and COSHH awareness and ability to write supporting quality documentation for the laboratory.
  • Support the Laboratory Quality Control Manager in maintaining laboratory documentation that describes best practice for fibre analysis.
  • Support the Laboratory Quality Control Manager with the maintenance of the laboratory equipment, and manage external contractors in the maintenance of this equipment.
  • Support shift analysts in case of equipment failure, including IT systems within laboratory.
  • Support the Engineering manager by water sampling (Point W1), for environmental analysis, recording monthly water usage, and provision of analysis results within reports.

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office , Excel skills in particular
  • Use of the following techniques would be an advantage SPC/MSA and MiniTab .
  • The senior analyst will play a key role in supporting the plant by release of material, based on breadth of technical knowledge and strong technical and analytical skills, which are critical in supporting analysts with equipment malfunction and easing the analytical burden.

We are working in partnership with a joint venture partnership that is designing and constructing a major nuclear project.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Senior CS&A Engineer required as part of the Site based Design Support to the Construction Team, reporting to the CS&A Lead Engineer. Responsible for the production of CS&A calculations, specifications, reports and supporting documentation and compilation of small design packages. Manage the work of small design team and co-ordinate liaison with other disciplines and stakeholders to ensure successful integration of design output.  Also responsible for the production of CS&A drawings and for the checking of work.

Person Specification:

  • Managing and controlling the work of small team (2-3 people) under the direction of the Lead CS&A Engineer.
  • Minimum 8 years industrial experience.
  • Ability to demonstrate strong competence in CS&A delivery of detail design for construction

CS&A Designer required as part of the Site based Design Support to the Client Construction Team.

Work under the direction of the Principal CS&A Designer.

Person Specification:

  • Proven experience of the design of Nuclear projects

Essential Experience:

  • The ability to obtain BPSS and a P4 pass is essential for continuance in the role
