Engineering Contracting company based in Cheshire, looking to recruit a Plastics Construction Manager for various Projects/sites in the UK,


Manage a team of blue collar labour to deliver a range of work including projects, TARs and maintenance work for the Plastics Division, ensuring compliant delivery to the agreed HSEQ criteria, commercial and schedule performance baselines, and specific Key Performance Indices (KPIs) and Critical Success Factors (CSFs).

Control Systems Engineer – Contract - 3-6 months duration - 40 hours per week Our client requires an experienced Control Systems Engineer to work on various UK projects, working in the Chemical, Petrochemicals and Pharmaceuticals sectors. A broad experience of the application and development of Control and SCADA systems in the above sectors is essential.

Experience and working knowledge of Siemens S7, Schneider Concept systems and Hima Himatrix PLC’s and software is required.

Good working knowledge of Winn CC and Schneider Monitor Pro/OCS SCADA systems is required.

Previous experience of GAMP5 software validation and testing is desirable.

The ability to develop and write URS and FRS documents is required.

The successful candidate may be required to work on most propriety PLC and SCADA systems. Some knowledge of system programming of Safety PLC’s and functional safety (IEC61508/61511) is desirable.

Previous experience working with proprietary DCS systems such as Honeywell Experion, Emerson Delta V and Siemens PCS7, whilst not essential would be of interest.

The successful applicant will have previously worked “on site” including commissioning with the ability to interface with clients to carry out and participate in site project meetings, PLC/SCADA/DCS modifications and maintenance.  The role may involve some degree of “On Call” support, suitable extra remuneration arrangements are in place for this support.

Experience with the, design, application and installation of mainstream and specialised Instrumentation equipment and LV electrical systems would be beneficial.

The role will involve some travel to visit client sites; however the role will be based in their Manchester office.
