To produce polythene film involving the operation of high speed, high volume production lines, within specification and to a high quality, whilst maximising production efficiencies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Production of polythene film to the required customer specification.
• Maximisation of production output.
• Completion of order and blend changes.
• Completion of filter and die face cleans as required.
• Carry out and accurately record quality control checks, taking remedial action where required.
• Working to work tickets and job specification sheets, and accurately completing all production-related controlled documents, ensuring compliance to customer requirements and quality standards.
• Promptly notify supervisors or line manager if product is out of specification.
• Ensure raw material supplies and material feed are maintained.
• Removal and bailing of scrap product, and removal of excess raw materials.
• Weigh, palletise and remove finished product.
• Ensure finished product packaging is completed to specification and sufficient for needs, with correct labelling.
• Completion and to all task cards and instructions relevant to operational area.
• Ensure handover to next shift is completed.
• Maintenance of housekeeping and hygiene standards.
• Assist in direct training of other operators, subject to process experience under the direction of the Shift Manager, Shift Supervisor and the Training and Development Manager.

Person specification - Who you need to be
• Have a good general level of education, including Grade A*-C in GCSE Mathematics (or equivalent)
• Ideally have a background in polythene film production manufacturing
• Ability to work closely with other members of the team ensuring cooperation and a team working atmosphere
• Willing to develop skills and knowledge of manufacturing methodologies
• Have excellent attention to detail
• Ability to communicate effectively

• 12-hour shifts consisting of 2 days, 2 nights followed by 4 rest days.  7am to 7pm, and 7pm to 7am

Senior Analytical Chemist

Job Description
To define and deliver a variety of process, product and environmentally related analytical investigations in support of Chemical production, commercial and SHE requirements. To provide robust analytical and technical service expertise to production / environmental managers, technical service managers and external customers.
Critically assess measurements undertaken in the laboratory or on plant and take action to address anomalies to ensure business decisions are based on robust data.
Develop, trial and validate new analytical methods to resolve problems and improve the overall technical capability of the business.
Develop and sustain Analytical Science knowledge and use this knowledge to advise SHE, production and commercial managers to meet SHE, production and commercial objectives.
Coach, train and validate analytical and process staff in analytical techniques and methodology to improve their basic understanding and technical ability.
Maintain and calibrate more complex analytical instrumentation to ensure business decisions are based on robust data.

Carry out sampling and analysis on all environmental and Occupational Health samples.

Working knowledge of a wide range of analytical chemistry techniques with in depth expertise in at least one.
Project Management experience.
Experience of working on a COMAH sites.
The job holder has to ensure that all project work takes into account and manages these risks. When working on other sites, including those of customers, the job holder is often the person who has to access and manage any additional and unexpected hazards.

We are working in partnership with a joint venture partnership that is designing and constructing a major nuclear project.

An assignment is available for an experience Site Engineer to assist the construction of a large nuclear project.

Roles and Responsibilities:
Provide engineering support for civil works, build works & structural steel & cladding operations.
Producing and reviewing risk assessment and method statements for the works for both sub-contract works and for self-delivery works. Provide setting out points for the works and carry out as-built positional checks for the works.
Provide support for the completion of works inspection & test plans.
Carry out site checks on a daily basis to ensure that any safe systems of work (SSOW) are being carried out as agrees and that any issues that rise are reported directly to the works manager and health and safety department.
Produce as-builts and redline drawings for the completion of works and for submission for any QA/QC LTR’s.
Issue any required permits to works for the days works ensuring that the documents are closed out and recorded in each case.
Review short term works programme and input to the teams as required in line with any ongoing site activities.

Person Specification:
• BTEC Level 4 HNC Diploma (Construction and the built environment)
• BTEC Level 3 Diploma (Construction and the built environment)
• Health and safety involvement on project via producing and reviewing method statements and risk assessments, including monitoring of works
• Setting out control and setting out of works, including control of setting out instruments

Their Clean Energy Generation Services business is looking for a skilled and experienced Project Manager to join their team supporting a key client within the Nuclear Power Generation sector. The GSUK team has an annual turnover in excess of £40M, contributing to the wider Clean Energy target.  You will be part of a large client lead team based in Gloucester, supporting multiple projects within the UK wide project portfolio. Project Managers are accountable to the PPM (Project Portfolio Manager) or equivalent Group Head for successful delivery of all aspects of their assigned projects. The Project Manager sets the project execution strategy in agreement with the PPM or equivalent Group Head and uses a cross-functional project team to deliver the project safely in line with company policies and procedures, achieving established goals and objectives within the agreed baseline.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Identifying, implementing and complying with applicable technical, safety, environmental and quality standards, client procedures and policies and other relevant legislative and regulatory requirements
• Applying the company project controls standards and developing, maintaining, reporting and trending an accurate project baseline
• Securing, assigning and maintaining a project team containing all the resources required to successfully deliver the project, including specialist support staff
• Leading and coaching the project team members creating a positive team working environment

• Experienced CV with experience of leading Nuclear Fuel Route type projects
• APMP formal Project Management qualification or equivalent (minimum IPMA level D, knowledge level 4 and Experience Level 0-3)
• The Project Manager must be fully versed in modern project management techniques within complex, multifunctional organisations; have a thorough understanding and knowledge of engineering, technical development, design, procurement, significant safety case production and development, construction and installation/commissioning management and commercial contracting. They should also have significant brownfield project management experience and experience of operating at all levels within corporate support centres
• Must be able to demonstrate an understanding of Safety Cases including how they are developed and implemented, relevant Health and Safety and Environment legislation including CDM and the actions required to achieve compliance along with a proven track record of working within highly regulated environments with high safety standards and culture. They must also have a good understanding of the needs of quality and how quality is assured and controlled along with relevant experience of commercial, contractual and financial project drivers. Experience of fast-track projects and project start up with multiple work streams requiring rapid development to a conclusion
• Must have excellent communication and organisational skills with the ability to develop relationships and maintain effective networks and be results-focussed tempered with a team-centred approach. They must be a strong conflict manager with a firm and assertive approach but take the analytical approach with a “can do” problem solving ability. Will require leadership, influencing and interface management skills and be capable of working with communities with conflicting focuses
• Demonstrable experience of managing technical and/or complex safety case projects throughout the full project lifecycle, ideally across a range of complex multi-discipline projects and environments, and management of an integrated project team including staff, agency and assigned functional support. They must be able to demonstrate experience of estimating, cost control, planning and commercial awareness including the preparation of business cases and sanction/ funding papers
• They should be experienced in the preparation of reports and information using packages such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint, be proficient in the use of estimating, scheduling, programming and risk tools and in the use of Earned Value tools. Analytical approach with high-level problem-solving ability
• Mobility when required (within UK - full driving license)
