Job Purpose: The purpose of this role is to apply specialist knowledge of CAD design, manufacturing and assembly processes to the design of the Underframe across programmes to deliver data ready for release in support of programme timing and objectives.

Key Responsibilities & Tasks:

  • Lead the design engineering of the underframe assembly from concept to production
  • Direct a team of CAD engineers towards design completion

Job Purpose: The purpose of this role is to develop and deliver the underframe to vehicle programmes whilst offering various archetypical designs according to platform requirements.

Key Responsibilities & Tasks:

  • Create and Manage 5 year commodity strategy plans and get relevant new technologies to IR within agreed function budget and timing
  • Employ the above and develop strategic suppliers with purchasing to ensure innovation and competitiveness

EICA Engineer – 41.25 hours per week Our client is seeking both a Senior EICA Engineer and an EICA Engineer. This role is for a skilled, focused and highly motivated Engineer to join the expanding M&E Team on various projects for a framework Key Client Account. Although primarily working for the Altrincham Office there will be occasional site based activities to support definition and the electrical scope of the projects.

Job Role:

  • As an experienced EICA Engineer working for an established EPC company you will combine your skills of EICA design in a variety of projects.
  • The role will be working closely with the Project Manager to ensure that all project activities are executed to meet the project requirements in a safe and cost effective manner.
  • You will lead the EICA design activities, within the agreed constraints of time, quality and cost, whilst maintaining the relationships with the client and an excellent Health Safety and Environmental performance. You will ensure customer satisfaction and quality is achieved at all times.
  • You will be a key part of the M&E team responsible to provide an efficient and good quality design and implementation.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Understand project scopes and balance client’s needs and expectations with project schedules and budgets
  • Provide EICA support to the Project Manager on medium and small projects, either disparate or grouped together under a technical programme of work,
  • Be proactive in supporting a good safety culture and ensuring all Health & Safety objectives are satisfied.
  • Ensure the EICA works are to the appropriate levels of quality and on time.
  • Demonstrate leadership skills to positively influence others to achieve results that are in the best interest of the company.
  • Have an input into Method Statements and Risk Assessments for all EICA site based activities.

Desirable Criteria:

  • Experience in water industry and preferably previous experience in the electrical and ICA elements in the design of water / wastewater treatment plants and water / wastewater networks.
  • You will hold a BSc or BEng in Electrical Engineering. Instrument, or Control and Automation related discipline.
  • A member (or working towards membership) of a relevant engineering institution i.e. IET.
  • EUSR Water Hygiene trained
  • Suitably relevant CSCS (ECS) card
  • Working on HAZOP’s would be an advantage.
  • An understanding of behavioural safety within a Mechanical, Electrical and/or Civil engineering environment

Person Specification:

  • Degree qualified in electrical engineering or equivalent.
