Job Purpose: The purpose of the role is to manage the generation and maintenance of Chassis Costs, Timing plans, reporting documents and presentation material. Will lead the functional and technical delivery of Chassis systems to the vehicle platforms.

Key Responsibilities & Tasks:

  • Represent Chassis within Programme, to lead meetings including gateways and Programme check points.
  • Preparing information packs to be presented in meetings, to all levels of the business.
  • Coordinate and monitor component performance and development. Outsource engineers to achieve the delivery plan.
  • Must guarantee the functional and technical delivery of the system to the project.
  • Attend cross-functional programme meetings to discuss Chassis delivery issues.
  • Must create Chassis gateway slides and attend gateway meetings.
  • Manage the generation of Chassis timing plans and costs.
  • Manage DVP metrics.
  • Must be prepared to support all required Programme financial reviews. Work with the Programme and Finance teams to provide all information in the correct format.
  • Help progress Concerns (issue resolution notification). Represent Chassis in Concern meetings.
  • Help Engineers with the cost management system (CMS). Raise paperwork as required and progress it through the system. Updates to be communicated to Chassis managers.
  • Aid Engineers with getting Releases approved quickly raising any major road blocks to management swiftly.
  • Take on other tasks as appropriate for the Chassis team allowing them to spend more time on Engineering tasks.


Qualifications & Experience:

  • Mechanical Engineering Degree preferred. Degree in another appropriate discipline will be considered
  • Experience with Chassis commodities.
  • Project management experience.
  • Proven record or working to strict deadlines.
  • Extensive experience of working in a Component Engineering environment.
  • Good working knowledge of Excel, Power Point, Project.
  • Good presentation skills.
  • Confidence with presenting to seniors and taking away actions.
  • Good understanding of Chassis technologies and their function.
  • Good people skills and able to communicate clearly.
  • Can produce and maintain timing plans.
  • Able to manage a small team of 2 - 3 people.
