Engineering Projects Supervisor

Role

Our Client; a globally operating Tier 1 Automotive company that specializes in the supply and manufacture of high technology electrical and electronic components, are looking to recruit a talented Engineering Projects Supervisor on a permanent basis. Working within a cross-functional organisation, you will certainly need strong Supervisory skills; ideally (but not essentially) combining this with knowledge of EDS / Harness systems to enable you to successfully manage the Engineering Project Leaders and Project Coordinators.

Additional responsibilities will include:

  • Key contact to Customer's Management and Supervision for Design Engineering Projects.
  • Ensure design change management processes are adhered to by team.
  • Review and optimise the internal development processes to support the internal and external project delivery requirements.
  • Work with Project Leaders to prepare engineering project status information and present at internal and customer project reviews and gateway reviews.
  • Lead weekly cross project priorities meeting.
  • Provide written weekly management report on project status and key issues.
  • Lead regular internal project status reviews.
  • Support regular customer project reviews, prepare status and plans for customer escalation meetings when required.
  • Measure and report progress of projects against the project plans, define and implement corrective actions when required.
  • Prepare and deliver technical project presentations to customer.
  • Review, negotiate and approve customer engineering statement of works for responsible programs.
  • Oversee disciplined review, control and storage of project related documentation.
  • Conduct regular team meetings.
  • Support acquisition of new projects and programs.
  • Follow company Quality Management System (QMS) as defined in the Quality Management Handbook

Qualifications and Experience ideally required:

  • Ideally, you will have a University Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Automotive Engineering or Programme Management, although equivalent relevant experience is considered.
  • You should be an accomplished and experienced Automotive Technical Project Manager / Technical Programme Manager with strong supervisory skills.
  • Any experience working with EDS / Harness electrical and electronic components would be a distinct advantage.
  • You will have a good knowledge and experience of Automotive business and associated process.
  • Self-sufficient, self-motivated and excellent team-player.
  • Flexible, adaptable, proactive, diplomatic attitude.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Microsoft office - Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Project.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • High attention to detail.
