David began his career with Millbank in 1989 having served his electrical apprenticeship with Rio Tinto Zinc and spending eight years as an Electrical Engineer with ICI and the Bowater Paper Company. David initially joined the group company Priory Design Limited working along side a small team specialising in all levels of Electrical and Instrumentation disciplines across all industries. The business model and its delivery was well received by clients and several key contracts were awarded for major projects within the oil & gas, energy and nuclear industries.
David was promoted to Director in
1994 to develop new strategies for the company and build an investment plan to
offer diversity and growth. In 1995 the Millbank Group was born from two acquisitions
- MDA Group (Technical & Engineering agency) and Aughton Automation (E, C
& I hire company). In addition new business divisions were developed
within the rail and automotive industry, which led to major opportunities on
large projects throughout the UK. David was appointed Group Managing Director
in 1999 and continues to work with his leadership team to deliver excellent
quality driven services to Millbank clients.
Group Finance Director
Melanie brings with her a wealth of experience in the development and management of financial systems and processes including reporting and analysis, budgeting and forecasting, due diligence and presentation of information to support decision making. Melanie is a CIMA qualified finance professional with over 20 years of experience, having worked in leading financial positions within a number of companies that served clients in a variety of sectors including; nuclear energy and security, chemical, utilities, pharmaceutical research and development, FMCG and security and surveillance.
With a passion for the development of internal financial systems that best suit the needs of the business teams and stakeholders, Melanie is an excellent communicator with a proven ability to build and foster financial awareness across the organisation.
Nigel joined Millbank in 1990 having worked as an Electrical Engineer with ICI for a number of years. Seeking a challenge and having an affinity to develop his skills he entered the recruitment industry at a very important time when recruitment agencies were in their infancy and the UK was undertaking many major engineering projects. Nigel utilised his engineering knowledge and experience with both clients and candidates to deliver and communicate career opportunities throughout the UK.
Nigel over his career has worked on some of the UK’s most iconic projects for the supply of professional and engineering staff. He works across multiple industries and has a reputation for his honesty and integrity both with clients and candidates. Nigel’s primary skill sectors include EC&I disciplines, where he has directed his knowledge for Electrical, Instrumentation, Controls, PLCs, SCADA, DCS etc, now being recognised as one of the UK’s leading recruitment professionals in these areas.
Sean joined Millbank in 2016 to head up our Built Environment and Infrastructure team. Using his extensive experience of Technical Engineering and Construction Recruitment, Sean utilises his knowledge to support Millbank’s current clients, as well as offering services to new clients across multiple industries.
Sean has been fortunate enough to work with and account manage some of the largest engineering and construction companies in the UK providing them with advice and the best talent in a fully cooperative and compliant manner. He is known for his energy and tenacity, putting the client’s and candidate’s needs at the heart of everything he does. Sean has specialised in Process Engineering, but also focuses on Civil/Structural Engineering and Site/Construction Management. He is Millbank’s GDPR champion and assists with managing & training the next generation of consultants within the business.
