Construction Planner

Role

We have a great opportunity an enthusiastic, motivated individual to join the Integrated Project Management Team (IPMT) to fulfil the role of Construction Planner on a major capital investment project being undertaken on a Top tier COMAH site based in Runcorn.

Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate sub-contract schedule integration workshops, identifying interdependencies and advising efficiencies
  • Ensure that all Construction planning work is carried out in compliance with Corporate and Project specific procedures
  • Control, supervision and monitoring of day-to-day activities of Trade Contractors Planning personnel
  • Supervision of the production of Construction resourced robust baseline project schedules
  • Ensure the requisite quality of data in the Brownfield Management Suite is maintained
  • Oversight of the co-ordination and production of all Construction project plans and associated documents (‘S’ Curves, Histograms, Tabulated man hour / progress data)
  • Ensure the timely issue of updated Construction plans and associated documents accurately at the agreed intervals
  • Liaison with the Head of Construction, Planning Manager and other key stakeholders as/when required

  • Good co-ordination skills
  • Capable of communicating with stakeholders of all levels
  • Capable of organising workload and working independently
  • Can provide high level, succinct reports from multiple data sets

Required Qualifications, Experience and Competencies:

  • Minimum HNC in Engineering plus 10+ years of experience in engineering & contracting or in a similar industry in a supervisory capacity, resp. Planning engineer, resp. (Sr.) Project engineer, on major/large projects
  • Primavera P6 102, 106
  • Proven ability to co-ordinate work
