1985 : Our story begins

From humble beginnings, Priory Design Services Limited embarked on a mission to build relationships, foster growth, and make a meaningful impact in the world of recruitment. 

We had a vision to connect exceptional talent with remarkable career opportunities.

1986 : Setting the Foundation

In our early years, we laid the groundwork for what would become a renowned name in the recruitment industry for all engineering discipline recruitment, with a specialism for Control, Automation, Electrical and Instrumentation.

With a dedicated team of experts from engineering backgrounds and a commitment to excellence, we quickly gained recognition for our ability to identify and match exceptional talent with organisations across various sectors.

1995 : Expanding Horizons

As the demand for talent grew, so did Millbank.

We expanded our services to new industries and geographic locations, establishing ourselves as a trusted recruitment partner both locally and internationally.

This period marked a significant milestone in our journey, solidifying our position as a go-to resource for employers and job seekers alike.

We made two significant recruitment company acquisitions to enhance the service delivery to our clients. The most significant was that of the MDA group of companies and from this the Millbank Group was incorporated as an emerging recruitment company for all engineering and project control roles within the UK.


1998 : Embracing Innovation

Innovation has always been at the heart of Millbank's success.

We recognised the ever-changing dynamics of the job market and embraced emerging technologies to enhance our recruitment processes and understood the importance of our BS5750 accreditation.

By leveraging the power of data analytics and digital platforms, we revolutionised the way talent is discovered, assessed, and connected with employers, further elevating the recruitment experience for all stakeholders involved.

1999 : diversity of service

Industry was changing their approach to recruitment and delivering on major projects.

Having recognised the shift in strategy with some major infrastructure clients we launched our new company, MDA Rail, to harness the opportunities to deliver on major rail investment schemes within the UK.

The company would provide for recruitment services, safety critical teams, possession management, provision of isolations and a training school to develop staff to the highest standards expected by rail clients.

In the following year MDA Rail were appointed as the Possession Management Company for the West Coast Route Modernisation project by Railtrack/Network Rail for the LNW area of Manchester, Liverpool, Preston, Cumbria and Stafford.


2008 : NURTURING PARTNERSHIPS

2016 : ADAPTING TO CHANGE

The recruitment landscape is ever evolving, and Millbank has continuously adapted to stay ahead of the curve.

We have navigated through economic shifts, technological advancements, and changing workforce dynamics, always staying true to our core values of integrity, professionalism, and a personalised approach.

Our ability to embrace change and remain agile has been instrumental in our ability to deliver exceptional outcomes for our clients and candidates.

2019 : forbes acquisition

In January of this year, Millbank made a strategical acquisition of Forbes HR limited based in Daventry who were industry recognised throughout the UK for professional recruitment services to the FMCG and automotive sectors.

The business was led by Jason Seed who had spent 20 years within the recruitment industry and had developed the Forbes business into a highly regarded company for providing recruitment solutions and professional talent to numerous clients.

This acquisitions has created consolidation and growth of client services within the group to provide collaborative delivery for our candidates and clients.  


2023 : BUILDING A BRIGHT FUTURE

As we look towards the future, we are excited about the possibilities that lie ahead.
