Job Purpose: The purpose of this role is to run press vehicles to find and resolve issues ahead of press event.

Key Responsibilities & Tasks:

  • Work with Launch, Marketing Communication and Manufacturing Vehicle Engineering Centre to develop vehicle diary to run press fleet vehicles on mileage for issue identification and resolution.
  • Liaise with all the companies staff to secure drivers against each vehicle booking and ensure maximum utilisation of vehicles.
  • Work with Launch team and Manufacturing Vehicle Engineering Centre to develop and carryout RIS deck for each press vehicle.
  • Ensure fleet vehicles are maintained to press standard with help from Manufacturing Vehicle Engineering Centre including running vehicle rework tracker to monitor all updates.
  • Ensure vehicles have all software and tuneables up-to-date and are fit for purpose to test including running reports on s/w status.
  • Create vehicle packs including routes, insurance forms and usage guidelines.
  • Brief all drivers ahead of vehicle use and ensure feedback is captured.
  • Analyse feedback from drivers and raise issues appropriately through the vehicle engineering teams and concern management system.
  • Provide daily reports on mileage, usage, issues etc. to the wider Programme.
  • Highlight any failures and work with Manufacturing Vehicle Engineering Centre and Product Development to get resolution whilst delivering the mileage plan.
  • Be the single point of contact for all issues on the press fleet ahead of press launch activities.
  • Handover vehicles back to MarComms with all issues resolved ahead of press activities.


Qualifications & Experience:

  • Automotive or Mechanical Engineering Degree or equivalent.
  • Whole vehicle or complex system programme coordination experience.
  • Knowledge of whole vehicle attributes.
  • Competent user of Microsoft Office tools particularly PowerPoint and Excel
  • Confident and authoritative presentation skills.
  • Should be self-motivated and able to work independently.
  • Passionate about the product promoting pride throughout the programme.
  • Able to build up good working relationships across a wide area of the business.
  • Full valid UK driving license.
