SIDE Senior Portfolio Manager

Role

This is a senior position within the AXIOM team supporting the business manager, operations and delivery teams in our work for SL across the Security, Infrastructure, Decommissioning and Engineering (SIDE) business.


This key role includes the management support to the SIDE business and the delivery of the AXIOM business plan and objectives, including; stakeholder management, project governance, business administration and performance management, project management support and AXIOM representation for key relationship accounts.

a) Active member of the SIDE / AXIOM Wider Leadership Team
b) Demonstrate value, minimising programme risks (threats), maximising opportunities as well as portfolio efficiency and effectiveness
c) Drive, support and demonstrate commitment to the AXIOM / DSA mission, vision and core values


Responsibilities include;
a) Liaison with the SL appointed Delivery Leads to develop and maintain good, sustaining business relationship and manage the discharge of work programmes, portfolio’s, projects and packages that meet the AXIOM/DSA mission, vision and core values.
b) Acting with the AXIOM Management Team to develop SL / DSA business and delivery strategies and participate in their effective implementation
c) Driving positive KPI, Earned Value performance of the projects performed in the business area.
d) Assist in the preparation of detailed forward work forecasts, revenue analysis, capability requirements and monthly business reports.
e) Lead and participate in proposal and quotation management including, where appropriate, setting guidance to ensure effective and timely responses are produced to RFQ’s etc.
f) Agree the strategic objectives related to packaging of work and incentivisation of projects.
g) Actively attend and participate in the customer Team Meetings on a regular basis
h) Liaise with AXIOM Commercial Manager and participate in contract management of task orders to include negotiation of initial orders, amendments to orders, work variation payments and financial progress monitoring, in accordance with the AXIOM procedures.
i) Support the management of the SIDE portfolio of projects to ensure that AXIOM delivers projects with maximum efficiency, to budget, quality and timescales, that meet the satisfaction of SL
j) Participate in monthly project reviews as required, covering all aspects of projects (costs, risks, timescales, cash, quality, estimate to complete etc.)
k) Assist and support Project/Portfolio Managers work within their allocated area to ensure effective operation, reporting and technically performance within agreed budgets, objectives and the overall AXIOM business plan.


• Qualified in Technical, Engineering or Business Related Subject
• Track record in project / programme delivery as well as customer relationship management
• Experience working in a successful alliance
• Good understanding of commercial and contract administration
• Good communication skills
