Project Engineer – Electronic Stability Program (ESP) Systems and Hardware

Role

The ADAS, Parking & ESP team are responsible for the technical and engineering activities with the objective of delivering the ADAS, parking and ESP systems and associated functions within the Quality, Cost and Delivery (QCD) targets as defined by the corporate technology delivery plan. The team is rapidly growing and is responsible for the hardware, systems, and performance of an ever-increasing level of technology as we introduce higher levels of autonomy, brake by wire systems and electrified

  • Responsible for the Electronic Stability Program (ESP)/ Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS) hardware design and integration
  • Responsible for ESP/ABS system development and integration
  • ESP related technical problem resolution
  • Hardware ownership and integration of ESP/ABS systems cross car lines
  • Ownership and delivery of all functionality associated with ESP
  • Design and release of ESP systems and hardware
  • ESP/ABS systems ownership and integration
  • Development and application of Brake by Wire technology
  • Final Engineering Sign Off ownership for ESP systems
  • Support technical problem solving for ESP
  • Manage key external engineering partners
  • Achievement of maturity levels and deadlines according to quality gate for all projects
Work with the ESP management team to achieve QCD


  • Internally interfacing to all C&VD members and interfacing engineering teams
  • Close relationship with internal ESP calibration and simulation team
  • Support NVH team in system integration and signoff
  • Externally interface and manage key technology partners
  • nvestment targets in line with business cycle plan targets
  • Piece costs within Program targets and on-going TDC year on year reductions
Responsible to solve problems in all technical aspects to deliver QCD for ESP systems



Budgets, functional targets, Bill of Process, Sourcing strategy



Stand in for Head of ESP with view to progressing into this role

  • Degree educated in relevant Engineering discipline
  • Industry experience (minimum 5 years) of ESP and ABS modulator development
  • Experience in Product Delivery and technical problem solving
  • Excellent knowledge of ESP and ABS systems
  • Experience of Design and Release within an OEM
  • Working knowledge of Functional Safety (FuSa)
  • Working knowledge of AMPCS / MISSION or similar Product Creation Process
  • Working knowledge of DFMEA

Clean Drivers License
  • NX CAD skills would be useful
  • German language skills useful
Degree educated in relevant Engineering discipline



MSc in relevant engineering discipline

  • Comfortable working to deadlines and holding others to account
  • Able to influence others – even when direct reporting lines are not present
  • Creative and courageous to enable achievement of aggressive company targets
