Development of the INEOS Automotive Grenadier 4x4, which has moved from the concept phase to the series development phase, will be aided by mobility technology company Magna.

Magna Powertrain was already involved in the Grenadier project but Magna Steyr will now join for the next phase of development.

Austrian-based Magna has built up a strong reputation for the production of rugged 4x4 vehicles, including the Jaguar I-Pace and Mercedes G-Class.

Final assembly of the Grenadier is set for INEOS Automotive’s Bridgend plant in south Wales with the first production cars scheduled to come off the production line in 2021.
